We Are W/M

We Are W/M is a Western Australian–based, evidence-driven charity dedicated to preventing gender-based violence through early, trauma-informed education.

We Are W/M exists to equip young people with the knowledge, language and confidence to build healthy, respectful and consensual relationships. They design and deliver comprehensive relationships and sexuality education (RSE) programs for young people, grounded in public health, informed by psychology and education research, and shaped by the lived experiences of young people themselves. Their work spans sexual health, consent, communication, social media literacy, body image, gender norms and bystander action - all delivered in safe, inclusive spaces using a peer-to-peer and cooperative learning approach.

Beyond the classroom, We Are W/M develops freely accessible consent resources, parent education platforms, and evidence-informed training for schools and communities. They have developed, implemented and evaluated multiple research projects into best-practice respectful relationships education.

At its core, We Are W/M is about prevention. They believe that education is one of the most powerful tools we have to dismantle harmful norms, challenge toxic masculinity, and ensure that every young person - particularly young women and gender-diverse young people - knows their voice matters
